I've got a small (11 pound) Meleagris gallopavo thawing in my fridge today in preparation for the annual big fight with the spouse over whether we go with stuffing (me, Yankee) or just do dressing on the side (her, southern). Spoiler: I always lose.

Love this time of year. Turkey, cream potatoes, homemade mac and cheese. Hawaiian rolls on the side. Lots of bourbon of course; happy Thanksgiving to all here at IPS.

Got two big pieces of chuck from Costco this morning. Doing beef stew this afternoon, pepper beef stout with the other tomorrow

Doing something different this year. Cooking trout we caught back in August on Friday. Six gallon bags full in the freezer.
