Again, the rank and file of the Democratic Party did not choose Harris. Only way she should be candidate is if Biden was dead or unable to serve because of medical reasons. If so, he should have been replaced accordingly and Harris would be president right now. Less than two months before she became nominee, Dem leadership (Pelosi esp) was calling for her to be removed as VP candidate for 2024. The Democrats keep moving the goalposts when it can meet their wants. I would have a problem with it if the tables were turned. America continues going down a slippery slope and both parties are playing a role.

Still can't get over Robinson being the best candidate the Republicans could put on the ticket. Good grief.

Democrats trotted out a Weekend at Bernie' s style corpse with a crack addicted son the last 4 years so not really sure they stand on any moral high ground.

Not to mention Kamala's Willie Brown scandal, her Husband banging the kid's nanny and impregnating her etc.

Democrats scuttled Bernie/Brandon/Biden because they recognized he was a bad candidate at this stage, and replaced him with a much more electable candidate.

Too bad Pubs didn't do the same with Trump or Robinson.

So you're okay that the democrats didn't take there voters thoughts at all in getting the next candidate? Who tf thinks that's a good idea

I think the polls are closer than people think in NC.

This is a last ditch effort to persuade conservatives that your candidate doesn't stand a chance so why even vote

Dems can't make candidates run.

Other candidates could have declared but it was moot at that point and everybody knew it.

Kamala could step into the war chest and campaign staff she and Biden already had. Other candidates would have to start fundraising and pulling together a staff, start up a campaign, and get rolling big time in a little over three months.

The prudence of Harris stepping in aside, I bet the interest other candidates had was basically nil.

Them voting required more than one candidate.

The party can't make other candidates run a race they knew they were sure to lose.

Yep.

I don't like it but it's not changing, and given the various considerations I don't have any issue with the way Kamala got nominated.

Biden had clearly lost the support of the party and was unelectable. The onus was on the party to act and they did to encourage him to step down. Kamala had all the built-in advantages of being able to step into nearly $100MM in campaign funding, and use Biden's campaign staff.

No other candidate was interested in changing that momentum, in what could well be a losing effort. Why would they wet their powder and run a partial campaign under the gun when they could just bide their time and embark on a full campaign in four years or eight years?

Lol, I can't believe you guys are still bawling about this.

Given that there was no time for a new national primary vote, which was the less democratic alternative?
  • Going with the Vice President that the people had actually voted for again during the recent primary, or
  • Going with a random candidate selected by unelected party delegates?
If you're concerned about democratic legitimacy (which, let's get real, you aren't actually), there was only one choice. Kamala.

If the dude is too dumb to use a burner email account and unique username on his porn accounts, he's not smart enough to be the Governor of NC. I mean seriously, how f-ing dumb do you have to be?

Who knows if they had anything to do with the Mark Robinson allegations.

Regardless, the Ahsley Madison part is just a "huh that's funny..that's not great for he and his wife" thing, and doesn't really move the needle. The crap he posted on N.A. is what is actually causing the trouble.

No.

A decade or more ago when these pr0n accounts were created, nobody knew or cared who Robinson was.

These accounts (at least the pr0n account) is obviously him.

Y'all need to stop nominating loons and then getting angry and defensive and making excuses when people call out their lunacy including their BS/misconduct/lack of integrity.

And to be clear, nobody cares about the pr0n. This is about his extreme hypocrisy and all the Nazi/MLK/false flag hate speech, not the fact that he likes ****** pr0n.

The GOP legislative leadership deserves all the blame for this fiasco by putting their thumb on the scales for Robinson. They went to great lengths to finish off Folwell whom they'd been trying to get rid of for some time. Just goes to show the folly of interfering with primaries.

Stein now using fabricated ads against Robinson via AI. As AI continues to get abused in this manner, will society come to reject any information conveyed through electronic means? Interesting sociological question for the future.

The statement tells the story…. It completely aligns with the narrative about Dems…

"In the past," Sturgill said, "if you wanted to tediously sit there and go through hours of someone's speeches and cut up their words and expertly audio-edit them together, you could still make people say things, but now it's basically a free app, right?

This is a bigger issue than partisan preference….its a powerful mechanism to control people. Robinson never said anything like how he's parodied in that AI-generated hit piece but it's so real, and people are so ignorant of AI, that it's devastating.
Yeah, so....AI didn't exist when Robinson posted his disgusting fantasies and anti-black rhetoric.
Don't bother. That's made up up stuff until the receipts are produced.
Did you read the CNN article? They brought receipts by the truckload.
CNN….there it is.
So you didn't read it.
That would be pointless. CNN has long since been demonstrably ideological and not terribly credible.
You didn't read the article, yet post fact-filled nuggets like this:
"Robinson never said anything like how he's parodied in that AI-generated hit piece but it's so real, and people are so ignorant of AI, that it's devastating."
