One can only wonder why the Feds and the State government have not responded to a lot of the affected areas with a real sense of urgency. We have at least 5 military bases in North Carolina and 4 of them have helicopters(I imagine Seymour Johnson has them too but can't say for sure.) Why have they not been sent to the mountains to help? It's day 4 of this tragedy and nobody is doing anything. We can get a SEAL team halfway around the world in 20 hours or less, but we can't get into the western part of NC. Just unleash the capability the U. S. Military has. This makes no sense at all.
