Completely agree! Florida figured it out and other states need to. Also, no shenanigans with Dem/Pub observers either. Should be a requirement they are present at all times. No kicking them out or forcing them too far away to observe. Should be a throat to choke for equipment malfunctions. What happened in Arizona should have resulted in people being fired or forced to step down.

Drop boxes need to be axed as well. Or if they exist, need to be supervised and observed. I am not a fan of harvesting either.

Add to that, mail in ballots must be post office marked 1 or 2 weeks before Election Day. Overseas needs special consideration.

Welp, like many ideas you guys have, I imagine if you actually understood the details as to why a precinct would take 3 days or whatever to do a full count it might suddenly make sense to you.

So you want a super accurate count with zero fraud, but you also want it super fast to make those first goals much harder? Got it!

The great sadness of this loss echoes down to our own time in the streets of Warsaw, Prague, and East Berlin. Soviet troops that came to the center of this continent did not leave when peace came. They're still there, uninvited, unwanted, unyielding, almost 40 years after the war. Because of this, allied forces still stand on this continent. Today, as 40 years ago, our armies are here for only one purpose to protect and defend democracy. The only territories we hold are memorials like this one and graveyards where our heroes rest.

We in America have learned bitter lessons from two World Wars: It is better to be here ready to protect the peace, than to take blind shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost. We've learned that isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist intent.

But we try always to be prepared for peace; prepared to deter aggression; prepared to negotiate the reduction of arms; and, yes, prepared to reach out again in the spirit of reconciliation. In truth, there is no reconciliation we would welcome more than a reconciliation with the Soviet Union, so, together, we can [listen] lessen the risks of war, now and forever.

It's fitting to remember here the great losses also suffered by the Russian people during World War II: 20 million perished, a terrible price that testifies to all the world the necessity of ending war. I tell you from my heart that we in the United States do not want war. We want to wipe from the face of the Earth the terrible weapons that man now has in his hands. And I tell you, we are ready to seize that beachhead. We look for some sign from the Soviet Union that they are willing to move forward, that they share our desire and love for peace, and that they will give up the ways of conquest. There must be a changing there that will allow us to turn our hope into action.

We will pray forever that some day that changing will come. But for now, particularly today, it is good and fitting to renew our commitment to each other, to our freedom, and to the alliance that protects it.

    See, this is what you all are just flat out missing... People like this, Trump, etc... did not create themselves. The Pubs and Dems created them. Bannon, in that segment calls it what it is. Had anybody ever heard of these folks, in a political perspective, back in the days of the Tea Party? No, they didn't.

    The Tea Party were saying the exact same things, some got elected, then, fell into the culture that is DC. It's that culture that has created these people, we now call MAGA. They used to be Tea Party. Once the Tea Party didn't do what they stated, the people (according to Civ, the aggrieved white man), looked for something they could latch onto. Trump enters the room and says what the (aggrieved white man) wanted to hear, then a movement is created.

    Unfortunately, for Pubs, these (aggrieved white men) are the majority within the party, and it's now time for the Pubs to get onboard with MAGA as they are the majority. So, Hokie, do you want to WIN? if so, get onboard...

    What I'm not missing is Trump lost in 2020 and would have little chance of winning in 2024 if he wasn't running against Weekend at Biden's.

    And Trump is the only candidate that can pull off the Vengeance and Grievance World Tour electoral strategy for the right. Good luck getting other candidates elected cycle after cycle with this approach.

    The right has got to figure out what they stand for and pull it together into a coherent electoral message other than being anti-woke, anti-trans, anti-library book, anti-reproductive rights, anti-ObamaCare, anti-.... It's devolved into being a flat, angry party of anti-Democratic sentiment that lacks broad appeal.

    Nobody gets inspired by hearing about what makes people mad or why this country sucks when it obviously doesn't.

    What gives the right hope? What inspires the right? What will align us well with our allies? What will drive business? What will vault us into the future in tech, energy, health care, etc.?

    THAT'S what the people need to hear more of from conservative candidates and strategists and talking heads!

    Your history is entirely backwards. Bannon founded Breitbart back in 2007, well before the Tea Party. Bannon, along with Limbaugh before him and a rogues gallery of other grifters have worked for decades with the Republican party to keep the Republican base in a perpetual state of culture war grievance, which would keep you voting even though Republican politicians were really only interested in tax cuts. Your entire world view has been fabricated and fed to you for a very long time.

    A funny thing happened along the way, though, around the time of the Tea Party. Frankenstein's monster got tired of waiting and took over the party, driving out all of the sane people. Trump's genius was realizing that and becoming the embodiment of those decades of Republican propaganda. Which of course now HE is grifting you guys you with.
