Where are the women's rights, women's lib people on this? Are they upset by this?
The traditional women's rights organizations are being silenced by the trans rights supporters. If you do not fall in line, they will try to silence or cancel you.
As an example, look at writer JK Rowling and what has and is happening to her. She has come out in strong opposition to those advocating for youth transitioning. She has argued against the use of puberty blockers, sterilizing drugs, and surgical changes for children under the age of 18. In 2020, she retweeted and op-ed article that discussed "people who menstruate" and took issue with the fact the story did not use the word
"women." For this, she received a lot of criticism, but she did no stop. She argued, "If sex isn't real, there's no same-sex attraction. If sex isn't real, the lived reality of women globally is erased." In June of 2020, she published a post on her website that called for TERF wars. TERF is an acronym for trans-exclusionary radical female.
For this, she has been roundly criticized by many in the publishing and entertainment industry. All of the primary actors from the Harry Potter movies have publicly denounced her views. In fact, Daniel Radcliffe was compelled to say that "Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associates who have far more expertise on this subject matter than Jo" (Jo is his nickname for JK Rowling).
For her views, she has received death threats. People have tried to have the sale of her books banned. She has not been included in Harry Potter reunion events involving the other actors. Bottom line, the supporters of radical trans rights have attempted to cancel her. Rowling in an unabashed supporter for women's rights and even for trans rights. What she objects to is the equating of transwomen as biological women.
