I most certainly dont want to defend Biden at this point given all thats going on, but this isnt all on him. This has been going on for LOOOOOOOOOONG time. SS is a ponzi scheme and has been since the beginning
Sure but Biden would get a lot of credit if he just diverted that multi-trillion dollars into the SS fund instead of wasteful and often BS definitions of "infrastructure".
I would prefer the government to stop spending money they dont have, personally. Problem is that no one wants to do that from either party.

Not Completely True!!!

Most all Dems and 50% of Pubs don't care about spending. The other 50% of Pubs get it! Now, based on those numbers, you are correct. The 75% that don't care will spend us into insolvency!!!

Well there is one party that is attempting to pass a $3.5 TRILLION dollar "human infrastructure" deal.

I remember when all the lefties were complaining about me calling them SOCIALIST and "junking" up every thread with the word... my my my how times have changed. A couple of the comrades openly admitted to supporting the ideas.

I apologized for calling the lefties on here SOCIALISTS several times. They aren't wanting SOCIALISM. They are full blown MARXIST/COMMUNIST now that the horse has left the barn. And they don't have the kahunas to even come on here and stand by their radical left wing ideas other than to drop by to piss and moan about the "mean poster BBW..."

Sorry to hurt your precious little "feewlings" like the Big Bad Orange Man did... but hey... I don't tweet and I'm not a "con man.." so at least I have that going for me right comrades?

That infrastructure bill is a bona fide disaster. It is nothing more than a new way to go after people and collect more taxes. All that money will just go to feed more corruption. There is nothing good that passes through congress now and days.

This will be the last time I respond to you, mainly because you continue to brow beat everyone who does, including me, ignoring all the other posts where I have said that Biden has done a worse than horrible job with his decision to retreat from Afghanistan.

So, have fun continuing to yell into the ether claiming everyone on here is a "lefty" who voted for Biden except your buddies.

I think I've tried to be fair with you and try to engage you in a positive way, and sometimes I have poked fun at you, but you continue to insult me and call me names and such and it's just so juvenile and I'm sick of it. I honestly can't think of one either Cary. I don't think I've ever defended Biden, I also have never run down Trump. My only complaint with Trump is his messaging and ego made for poor policy roll out, but that didn't prevent me for voting for him, nor do I think he did a terrible job and is the worst president ever.

Biden is swiftly approaching Jimmy Carter territory, which to me is a bit surprising, I thought he would be a little more competent and more center left, but it seems he sold out to the far left portions of the Democratic party to get his 4 years in office.

With Afghanistan, he's basically enacted the strategy for retreat that he tried to do in Iraq, and thankfully Obama did the right thing and we beat back ISIS in Iraq. Biden has longing for getting out of Afghanistan. I'm not surprised he did it so haphazardly.

Well stated. Though I voted for Trump, I actually thought Biden would not be horrible. But -- he has gone straight left, he's proving to be not be able to navigate working with both sides, and he's not only butchered the withdrawal, but his messaging during and after has been shockingly bad.
And I can't help but think he's much more feeble-minded than probably anyone except his most ardent detractors thought a year ago. Which is scary considering the far-left leaning folks he's surrounded himself with.

Social security is the third rail of politics. Everyone is scared to do something for fear of backlash. No one is going to raise taxes; no one is going to raise the age to receive it. George Bush was excoriated for his proposal to privatize it. But, privatizing social security would have removed my current contributions from the government's reach and allowed me to generate an additional nest egg.

So the decision is to let catastrophe happen.

I also read an article that talked about how social security actually contributes to social inequality. Because it's a pension and has a marriage benefit, you may not receive the full realized value of your contributions if you don't live as long and are unmarried. If that had been in a privatized account, then the full value would have been available for your heirs.

This is from the Urban Institute, which Wikipedia tells me is a liberal think tank.

I think the back deal making of politics in the Democratic party meant that they would push Biden ahead and get him in office in exchange for a far left agenda. So, no I don't think he's 100% in charge. I think he's beholden to the Democratic political machine, which has taken a big leap left in the last dozen years or so.

Here a few questions for the "democrats" on here. I have to be careful not to be too abrasive so as to not hurt anyone's precious little "feewlings.."

1 - Why is Sleepy Joe running off to Delaware every weekend and not taking ANY questions when he is there?

2 - Why are the visitor logs kept private when he is there?

3 - Who is telling him what reporters to call on and if he can or cannot take questions?

4 - Where the hell is Horizontal "Cackling Hyena" Harris?

There. I've given you something to talk about. Also... for all of you that voted for Biden riddle me this. Do you still stand by your vote and are proud of voting this ****show of an administration into office just because you didn't like President Trump's personality?

I understand that people did not like Trump's persona; however, I do not understand how you can equate it to rolling out a policy.

Regarding Biden, all any of us had to do is really listen to him (whenever he got out of the basement) and the people associated with him, you would have known he would have been a far leftest. So, that one is confusing to me...

Afghan withdrawal is only bad for those that lost their loved ones. We can defend ourselves perfectly fine, provided we get a change in Military leadership, so, as bad as the leaving the equipment behind is, we will be ok...

I'll take it point by point.

Trump - His choices in communication as well as some of his antics took precedent over his policy roll outs. So, for the majority of America who does not pay close attention to politics, all they here about is his latest tweet, his latest gripe about the media, etc. The policy message then gets lost to the average voter - probably a good percentage of those who are the people who voted because Trump was a "Mean Orange Man"

Biden - I thought the campaign rhetoric was that - rhetoric and that when he got in office he would move Center Left, which is similar to what Bill Clinton did. But that didn't happen for sure. I mean, look at this mess:

https://www.atr.org/biden-impose-largest-tax-increase-1968?amp

I disagree with your sentiment on the withdrawal. That is a lot of American tax dollars wasted for nothing, on top of leaving assets on the ground. That is not good governance and stewardship of tax payer dollars. But, I don't think that's been a priority for politicians for a very very long time.
