On one hand I think to myself that I don't understand how in the world they think they're going to get away with it, knowing the scrutiny that they are under.

But really I just think they love the thrill of the chase and the exhilaration of potentially being caught.

How they could enjoy one second of these trysts knowing the damage they will likely cause their family and their career is beyond me but it just takes a different type of person to want to hold political power.

Politicians attract the same bizzaro personality type that "acting" does in tv, movies etc.

They love power and attention and can rarely be happy or fulfilled without it ... and there is never enough so it creates a damaging affect where they are always searching and reaching for more. Nothing is ever good enough. Ive known 3-4 in my adult life and they all contain similar traits. You also have a never ending group of people kissing your butt... similar to the attention athletes get. It creates opportunity... but the desire for "more" is different in politicians than athletes.
