Has anyone been to a game in Baltimore?

I'm thinking of going up in July and taking the wife and kids to catch a Mets/O's game. For anyone who has been, any recommendations on sections or tips about the game day experience ? Any suggestions on site seeing or places to stay around the inner harbor ideally able to walk to the park and also the aquarium or other draws in the area that would be kid/family friendly.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

You kind of nailed it. You'll want to stay in/near the inner harbor if you can. Camden is beautiful and you can walk from the harbor. Aquarium is awesome for kids. There is also a cool neighborhood called "Fell's Point" that is walkable from the harbor with great restaurants and bars. Get some crab cakes at Duda's tavern if you end up down there. Additionally, Thames street oyster house for some great seafood. Can also walk to little Italy from the harbor. I recommend Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel. No idea how much it costs but i've stayed several time for work.

In camden I have sat in the outfield bleachers, behind home, and there is like a club 2nd deck area that used to have food included... all are good options. Can't really go wrong in that stadium

Love Camden Yards. Go to Pickles Pub before the game and walk over to the stadium.

Funny you're bringing this up. I'm also taking the family up to Boston where the wife and I lived before they came along. We're thinking of stopping in Baltimore to break up the trip and catch a game. Appreciate the input so far.

I have watched baseball in Baltimore many times before, with my last trip being in 2023. The photos below are from that trip.

My advice, whether walking or driving to the stadium is to get there early. If there is a giveaway, such as a bobblehead, people will show up an hour or so before the gates open. I'd also get there early so as to walk around before the game or take in batting practice (and try to get a baseball), depending on personal preferences.

It gets extremely humid in Baltimore, so drink some water beforehand, both the day before and as you get to the park.

I would also look at what the nearby cities with MLB teams are doing and the timeframe you have on your vacation to work with. It is easy to do a three-game trip with Washington, Philadelphia, the two New York teams, and Boston as the closer options to tack on. I've done the trip north and visited four parks in four days before, so you can get a lot of baseball in during a short span.

Thanks Rob. What's the Syracuse shirt all about though?!

Orange (Orioles main color-Mets off color) and Carmelo Anthony (Baltimore-native and New York hoops hero).

Wearing it allowed me to sort of support both Baltimore and the Mets without any trouble from other fans.
