the SEC got 13 teams in the NCAA tournamentincluding 6 of the top 7 seedsand will send two, at most, to Omaha after No. 4 Auburn was swept off its own field by Coastal Carolina.

That's okay, though. I'm sure no lessons will be learned and this league will get 13 bids again next year.

Always root against the SEC but my worry is if the SEC teams all get knocked out, UNC clearly becomes the favorite to win it all.
unc needs to worry about getting by Zona first and foremost.

IIRC they got some solid guys from Liberty last offseason that came over with a coach, helped them build a strong roster.

They got 2 year starter Hunter Stokely back from injury as well as Jake Knapp who was a rotation guy in 2023 (IIRC) plus they brought back Madera and Van de Brake (who was also a starter in 2023) so basically returned an entire infield of starters. They did replace all 3 OF spots.

They returned a lot of arms plus one of their best pen guys but he was lost to an arm injury midseason (IIRC).

Either way, they returned a nice chunk of talent, especially on the mound.

They should be losing most of the INF with the exception of Gallaher as well as 2/3rds of the OF, although Carter French prolly gets 'crooted over if he hasn't already.

They have an OF from Ga State committed from the portal as well as a 1B from Stony Brook.

They'll lose 2/3rds of their weekend rotation with DeCaro coming back but the Lynch kid has been impressive here at the end of the season. I assume he'll move into a weekend spot. The McDuffie kid is good and he's obviously back. No idea after that.

Scott has some talent, always will, he's a stud recruiter but as Gee said earlier, he tends to overcoach at times and that prolly bit him today.

Yes, granted I haven't watched a ton of UNC this year but the young kid McDuffie struggled both times he was brought in this weekend. Felt that it wasn't the best idea to bring him in today with 2 men on in high leverage.

Lynch was really good. He'll be really good and wouldn't shock me if he was the Friday guy over decaro next year.

Yeah, Forbes will probably find guys. He has so far in his head coaching career there.
