Huh? I was legit curious about why he didn't play this year as people claimed he was healthy. The poster inferred it was because he wasn't pitching well, hence my response. I assumed he was still hurt but was hoping for something more concrete

Not sure why I am getting the hate here. The other poster inferred it was because smith wasn't pitching well, atleast that's how I took it. And people here have claimed he is healthy and ready to go. So what is it? I was asking a legit question and when someone responds "there you go", I went off that. I know smith has been dinged up and that's why I wish we had gotten a legit update at some point

Any other coach with the **** facilities we have would have done much worse. A lot easier to make a coaching change when you have an attractive job. With our facilities being at or very near the bottom of the ACC, good luck getting someone worth a **** to come here.

This isn't a great post either. Look when you are thr head of a program for 30 years the facilities are yours. It is your responsibility to garner the suppprt to keep your facilities in line with your peers. Does our Coach not have relationships with influential donors. Can he need get the administration over 30 years behind a capital campaign. This is a leadership issue.

Acent has done a nice job in terms of results but let's stop with the BS facilities excuses and talking about how bad the job is. This patently false and it is his responsibility to garner support for thr facilities when you are thr head man for 30 years.

Any other coach? The guy right before him won the ACC. And then yeah, he left for a place dedicated to more resources and won a couple CWS's. But we still were able to hire him

This can't be serious. The folks who want Avent to be fired or to step away are living in fantasy land. We went to the CWS last year and have been to 3 of our 4 in school history in the past 12 years. He isn't hurting anything and shouldn't be asked to step away for a long time. Outside Wes, he's been the best major sport coach we've had in a long time. All with some of the worst resources in the conference. Wish we would cut this crap out already.
