Lot of arms that have really looked good this year other than Dudan. If we can get the bats going I really like what we will look like in March/April. Most talented group of arms we have had in a LONG time.

8 earned runs allowed in 2 games and you lose by a combined 9.
Hitting and defense. Yesterday it was defense, today it was all about the bats. Gotta figure that out. Too good on the mound to waste it.

i dont want to be that guy, but the 8 earned runs is such a misleading stat. Fritton got himself into that position by walking 2 guys and gave up a bunt single. Did we struggle behind him some? yup. His other 2 unearned runs was because he didn't field his position (although it was a tough play).
so dont walk/get behind guys and make them hit you. we are giving teams way too many opportunities to start the year. 38 (28 walks, 10 HBP) free passes in 48 innings which is almost 6 per game. just simply can't do that.

Sure, but you still have to field your way out of those spots if the pitching has given you the opportunity to make plays. As sloppy as Fritton was, he still should've left the game allowing 3 through 5 and arguably less.
Also think the walks are a feature not a bug. It's pretty clear, at least I think so, that Chrysler coaches attacking corners and the outer half of the zone with fastballs. Been that way for a few years and has lead to a lot of success.
