Keatts issues came from not exactly having a backup plan once those kids left. Baseball teams kind know when a kid is going to leave for the draft, and (hopefully) recruit as such. Someone mentioned in another thread that avent is recruiting like head and Fitz Gerald won't be here.

Chase Burns became the 5th pitcher from Wake Forest to be drafted in the 1st round in the last 7 drafts.

Seaver King and Nick Kurtz make 7 Deacs drafted in the 1st round in the last 5 drafts, including 5 in the last 2 drafts.
