Chase's AB was at least competitive.
My only problem with the Nixon at bat was the slash attempts. If you're going to bunt, just bunt. Eli needs to put up more of a fight there.

6,7,8,9 for us have been on base 11 times. Top of order not getting it done again

I mean, if you're committed to the sacrifice, I'm fine with bunting with two strikes. But the slash attempts muddy the water as the what they were trying to accomplish. With no outs and two guys on, I'm still ok with trying to bunt with your nine hole guy, just commit to it.

The announcers were just as confused as him.
Either way, even if he had gotten the bunt down, a strikeout and a fly out would've stranded the runners anyway.

I actually thought he was thinking the pitch clock expired. He was making the motion umps make for the pitch clock.
