They have 5 potential first round draft picks in Nick Kurtz (could be a top overall pick), Chase Burns, Josh Hartle, Seaver King and Michael Massey. They brought a bunch of talented dudes in from the portal as well.

Their pitching staff is full of dudes, as usual.

My company has done a lot of work for Wake Forest recently when it comes to renovations, they've been pouring some money in to the baseball facilities. The pitching lab in particular has MLB teams coming by to see how they can improve their own facilities.

Yeah Wake is on a different level with their development program for pitchers right now and it is reaping the benefit with recruiting.

Started game 3 of our series last year. Was decent. I Imagine they thought he would take a jump.

Brandon was from Texas and Jake is from Greensboro according to the interwebs. Can't find any mentions of a direct connection between them, but it's possible.

Doubtful. Brandon was from Amarillo, iirc. Jake is from Greensboro.

Coming in at 16 on the coaches poll, linked below. Of note- Hawaii is last in receiving votes on here, putting them at #49. Was looking at their schedule and they open up with Ole Miss (#34 in this poll) before playing us, so they will be battled tested

While creating my printable schedule (shameless plug), I was noticing how crazy hard our schedule is. We get our "easiest" series all in March (BC, @GT, Duke - not easy, ND). Then it goes:
