Highfill/Willadsen towards the later rounds


Eli Serrano and Michael Gupton seem to be the HS options from our class.

Michael gupton
Robert evans

In order, those are the top 3 kids. Serrano could go in the top 5 rounds or so. It sounds like gupton has been slipping some. Evans was a late riser but not sure he goes too high

He did receive a contract offer, he turned it down. They verbally agreed on a 6 mil deal but the medicals killed that number and he didn't want less money.

Already talk of personality issues with Watson and the Marlins. Main reason he dropped in draft last year. Wonder if Pack dodged an issue with him getting drafted.

Who is ranked higher than the state than him? The guy who got drafted last night from Kernersville was #4 i think.

Gupton is 1 in the state, Serrano is 2. Again, per PG

It's a risk but from what I've read, teams feel good about where he is medically. As a Rangers fan, the idea of having Leiter and Rocker in the rotation in a couple years gets me excited that the organization can get back to winning.
