NC State will next travel to No. 11 Louisville for a three-game ACC series. The teams will play Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Jim Patterson Stadium. Friday's game will be broadcast on the ACC Network and the final two will be on ACCNX. Additionally, all three games will be aired on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

Have a wedding this weekend so won't be able to watch any of this. Sucks because it's such a big series (every series moving forward is, really).

SERIES HISTORY
Friday will be the 20th meeting between the Wolfpack and Cardinals, as Louisville owns a 15-4 advantage in the all-time series.

The last time the teams met was on March 19-21, 2021, in Raleigh, and Louisville swept the series with 13-1, 6-3 and 8-3 results.

The last time the teams squared off in Louisville was on April 6-8, 2018, and NC State earned 9-6 and 10-3 wins to take the series after dropping the opener, 8-2.

BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC
This weekend will be a battle for the top spot in the Atlantic Division of the league, as Louisville is 9-6 (.600) in conference play while NC State is 10-7 (.588) against ACC opponents.

The squads are currently in the top two of the division and top three among the conference standings behind front runner Miami, who owns a 14-4 ledger (.788).

I've got the solution.

Roll back the clock at your place and come back off of daylight savings time. Your clock will be back at 7 when gametime rolls around, You'll be on # 2 instead of # 3 and can make it thru the game.

Does ACCN do a Twi-Night doubleheader on Friday nights with some other game at 5 pm? Otherwise, the late start makes no sense. Is Ville in the Central time zone?

The team has not tweeted much all year during games. Pretty annoying when you consider how difficult it is to watch some of the games.

Louisville baseball has one of the ugliest identities in college sports - the aesthetics, the uniforms, the players haircuts. Literally everything about them is just disgusting - no offense to them, they've been successful.

Call me old fashioned but I will always hate turf baseball fields. The infield needs to be dirt.

I feel the same way. As long as State has a turf management program, I do not believe we have to think about this at State.

I hope not. I just don't think it looks as good as a well kept grass field. I also thing the non-dirt warning track is what through Devo off on that fly ball.
