No. 20 NC State baseball (18-9) returns home Tuesday to host a midweek tilt with Campbell (15-12) at Doak Field at Dail Park. The game has been tabbed as the Wolfpack's annual Military Appreciation Day, and first pitch is set for 6 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second meeting between the Pack and Fighting Camels this season, as the teams last met on March 2 in Buies Creek, N.C. In the matchup, Campbell handed NC State its first loss of the season with a 7-4 result.

Tuesday will be the 73rd all-time meeting between the squads, as NC State leads the series with a 52-19-1 ledger.

The last time the teams met in Raleigh was on March 2, 2021, and NC State earned a dominant 14-6 win.

I've never really understood moving the time up just an hour. Seems with the unpredictability of weather that still puts you in a window when the weather could affect the game. I'm sure there's probably some reason they couldn't move it up three hours, but like has been said above, we may not be too upset with a rain out, though I hope we get some get back for losing to them earlier.

I would assume it has to do with school. Kids have to already miss a lot of class due to travel for games.

Exactly. Campbell is a nice squad, for sure, but with a RPI of 100 losing effects is way more than winning does

I don't think NCSOS matters in baseball as much as hoops.

Conference record is king -- just win enough ACC games. The ACC is RPI-loaded this year. Freakin Wake Forest is in the top 10. Does anyone even think they are a top-5 team in the league?

Our pen needs the rest, and it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to give Sam the weekend off at VT where it's going to be cold. Something is clearly going on, and we need him in May/June. Payne could start Sunday since he didn't do anything midweek.

I was thinking maybe let Sam start but use him as an "opener" like some MLB teams have done. Let him throw an inning, maybe two, just to get the work in and then go bullpen game from there.
