NC State returns to action when it travels to Elon Tuesday then returns home Wednesday to host Coastal Carolina in a pair of midweek contests. First pitch Tuesday is set for 4 p.m. at Latham Park while Wednesday is slated for a 7 p.m. start at Doak Field at Dail Park. NC State baseball (9-6) is set for a pair of midweek contests this week, as it will make the short trip to Elon (8-6) Tuesday and then return home to host Coastal Carolina (10-6) Wednesday.

First pitch against the Phoenix is set for 4 p.m. at Latham Park and the game will be broadcast on FloBaseball ($). Wednesday's game with the Chanticleers is set for 7 p.m. at Doak Field at Dail Park and it will be broadcast on the ACC Network. There will be an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App for both contests.

Elon is finishing up a series with UNCG Monday afternoon before turning its attention to the Wolfpack.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the 58th all-time meeting between the Wolfpack and Phoenix, as NC State owns a 44-13 advantage in the series. The teams last met on March 26, 2019, in Raleigh, and the Pack earned a 21-2 win.

NC State has won seven of the last eight matchups between the teams, including each of the last four.

Wednesday will mark the 34th meeting in the series history between the Pack and Chanticleers, and NC State leads the all-time series, 19-14. They last met on March 4, 2020, in Raleigh, and the Pack won, 24-7 (7 inn.).

In the last eight meetings the series record is even at 4-4, dating back to 2015.

I'm having trouble right now seeing the potential in our SS. His defense is questionable, arm not strong, and AB's have left a lot to be desired.
I wonder if we have anyone else who can slot in there for a while? Are we unable to remove him from the starting lineup bc he chose to come to school and spurn his MLB offer?
I'm not trying to bag on the guy, he's still really young, but his play isn't helping the team right now. Maybe it helps him to sit some and get challenged for his role
