Evansville returns 8 of 9 guys from their rotation that threw over 20 innings off a team that had an ERA of 5.44. A couple decent arms, it seems, but nothing to write home about. Not a big strikeout staff last year as they only K'd 344 hitters in 455 innings. Teams also hit .277 against them. Assuming they had some general improvement, we should be able to string together some hits and runs, but it shouldn't be a complete pushover.
They lost their top 2 hitters, but return their next 6 hitters even though none of them hit over .300 (only the 2 they lost). The team last year hit .269.
What would you guys like to see in week 1?
