Probably see him for 2-3 innings in one of the mid day games now, no?

EA compared Tommy to Sabato. I love EA but this kid is gonna be much better than Sabato

Sabato hit .344 with 25 doubles and 18 homeruns as a freshman. If white has that type of year, I think we are all happy

He's over a 1/4 way there in 3 games on the homers lol. And hitting .647 with 2 intentional walks

Fair to say that NCSU has never landed a HS bat that is the caliber of White. We have developed some but a top 25 kid, top HS bat in the class, etc. he's just a different animal. Going to be a lot of fun watching him for 3 years. Liked what I saw out of the arms today, seem to have a lot of solid options this year. Going to be another fun one for the Pack!

No. 10 @NCStateBaseball completed the series sweep of Evansville Sunday as Tommy White hit his fifth home run of his debut weekend.

Jarrett: "Coach Avent just told us downstairs that sweeps are big they are hard to get."

Several ranked teams struggled this weekend. #9 Florida lost 2 of 3 to Liberty, Mississippi State lost 2 of 3 to Long Beach St. to go along with ECU getting swept by Bryant.

I saw some highlights of the Long Beach St pitcher who won for them on Friday. Kid looked nasty

No. 7 NC State baseball (3-0) shut out Evansville (0-3), 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at Doak Field at Dail Park, sweeping its opening series of the 2022 season.

The Wolfpack combined for 13 hits, led by J.T. Jarrett's 4-for-4 day at the plate to match his career high, while freshman Tommy White hit his fifth home run of the weekend to get off to an impressive start in his collegiate career.

The St. Pete Beach, Fla., native went 9-for-14 on Opening Weekend with seven runs scored and 12 runs batted in.

Along with White (2-for-4), Dominic Pilolli (2-for-5) and Noah Soles (2-for-3) turned in multi-hit performances while Green tallied a multi-RBI outing in Sunday's win.

The Pack plated its first three runs of the contest in the second inning, as Jarrett drove Josh Hood home with a single through the left side and then Green knocked in Jarrett and Jacob Cozart with a base hit through the left gap.

In the third, Noah Soles' long RBI single to right field with runners at first and second extended NC State's lead to 4-0, and then White's two-run shot to left center field tacked on two more runs to make it 6-0 through four complete.

Devonte Brown tacked on a late run in the eighth inning, scoring from third on a passed ball after reaching on an outfield single and advancing on a stolen base and wild pitch.

The Purple Aces were held to five hits, led by starting pitcher David Harrison (1-0) who tossed six innings to match his career long in a single game while fanning four batters in the process. Garrett Payne and Justin Lawson combined for the final three innings to yield just one hit and strike out three in their season debuts.

NC State returns to action for a pair of midweek games Tuesday and Wednesday when it hosts High Point and Longwood, respectively. First pitch for both games is set for 3 p.m. at Doak Field at Dail Park, and the game will be broadcast on the ACCNX with an audio stream on WKNC 88.1.
