Patrick Bailey is going to Be With The Holly Springs Salamanders Till June 26 And Then Go To The USA Baseball College National Team But if He does make the Team He Will Go Up To The Cap Cod League Don't know the Team
And B.nelson38 And J.creel50 are also on The Holly Springs Salamanders This Summer
C.silver51 is going to be with the Forest City Owls This Summer
And L.whitaker16 is going to be the High Point Thomasville Team in the CPL
D.harrison10 is pitching in a NY League
D.brown3 is playing in a GA League
And Jt.jarrett And T.tatum1 are both playing for the Same Team in a VA League

How does this work? The best players get invited to the cape cod league?

what leagues are these guys in? Would love to follow their progress as it is a big, big summer for Tatum and Brown. Brown should have been the everyday RF, imo, but maybe Tatum takes a leap and Brown can compete at 3rd. Both have a lot of natural abilityJCooke93 said:

Yes, typically the better prospects are chosen for the cape. They are "recruited" by the cape teams and college coaches can also recommend players. There are also invite only tryouts for players and those are usually fill ins for kids playing in the NCAAs/CWS.

I saw Bailey play Wednesday night. He hit a HR in his first at bat. Looked like a man among boys.

In Game 3 of the USA Baseball College National Team Scrimmage P.bailey5 goes 1 for 3 with a SB And he also threw a runner out at 2B

Think the young man can be a really good 2B, if given the chance, but some want him in RF. Imo his best future is at 2B, think he will show some people.
A.tillery47 Pitched last night for the Holly Springs Salamanders good 1inning but got bad luck the Next inning Walked the 1 Batter of the inning then gave up a Base hit then they took him out the Next Pitcher got the next 2 outs before giving up the lead so A.tillery47 ended up getting the Loss

Reid Johnston - 4 starts, 2-0, 0.52 era.
Nick Swiney - 2 relief apps, 2.70 era. Has an "x" next to his name which means he is no longer on the squad. Not sure why.
Evan Justice - 5 apps (2 starts), 0-3, 7.71 era.
Reid pitching lights out. Evan struggling.

Because he threw so many innings during the year. The schools tell these teams about how many innings they want the kid to pitch and once they reach that limit they go home. That's why Reid only has four starts but they must want him to get a few more innings. A lot of teams turn over an entire pitching staff over the course of the seasonRipper said:

In my opinion Brown is gonna be the most improved player on the team next year. He's either gonna be on 2B or RF, Avent's not gonna be able to keep him off the field.
