Damn, that stinks. I used to work with his dad. The family lives in GA, so no ties to UNC. I actually assumed he'd end up at UGA or GT.

I'm "old school" and hate losing anybody….. but, I will never speak ugly of a kid for leaving to get "playing time" and I would assume (with no inside knowledge) that this is about that.

This is a 2 way street these days man. It isn't just a player choosing to leave. The school also has a decision to make about whether to retain a player. I doubt the school offered a guy who got 8 ABs to return.
