With the recruiting rules today they don't really care about kids at that point. They might start paying attention in about a year depending on the level of talent.

I don't know that Coach is doing much heavy lifting in the recruiting department. I'm sure he'll help close to the deal but Chris, Clint and BoRob are those dudes that 'croot.

I don't think this says anything about Avent. This was a young man who committed to State several years ago. I would guess the staff is trying to make numbers work for next year.
My follow up question would have been, if avent is retiring, is this a sign we are going a different direction than Hart/preserving the current staff (other than avent)?

Fittin to be portal season, so I wanted to bring this up to the top.
Clint Chrysler just followed a kid out of D2 Concord U in Athens, WV (middle of NOWHERE) that's originally from Raleigh/Wake Forest. Looks like he also played at Pro5 and was there the same time as Serrano and Dom Fritton.

from the looks of it, he started out at Gaston College, moved over to Catawba Valley CC then hit up Concord.
Kid has some gaudy numbers.
I'll add more as I see them. I've been slack lately so there's probably some dudes I've missed. Definitely some JUCO kids I've missed as well.

Gunnar Alm is a HS 'croot, ranked 81st overall by Perfect Game. He's from Columbus, NC and he's a coach's kid. His dad is the HC at Polk County HS
Otto Knust is a RHP from Overland Park, KS ranked 277th by PG
Landon Church is an IF/OF from West Forsyth HS. PG has him ranked 319th overall
Those are the higher ranked guys in the class as ranked by PG.
We have 3 JUCO commits that I know of so far, all 3 are pitchers. 2 lefties and a righty.
Elijah Sanders LHP Flo-Dar Tech Florence, SC. He's listed at 6'0 212 originally from Rock Hill, SC
Garrett Mirel LHP Golden West College. He's listed at 6'5 190
Dylan Mannino RHP John A. Logan. He's listed at 6'3 205
Coach BoRob has followed several JUCO guys, one that caught my eye was former LSU classmate with Mikey Ryan, David Hogg II. He's playing at Grayson College (JUCO in TX) and put up some big numbers. He's probably a guy that waits for the draft to come and go before he figures out his next home.

We need to focus on the mid majors more so than juco. This is the portal era. We have to beef up our pitching staff through the portal and there is so much data available for recruiting mid major guys. It shouldn't be a dart throw.

Wondering if you guys can help me, my old high school is the #1 seed in the 3A playoffs, Ayden Grifton, they are playing Whiteville at home Friday night and I have had some buddies tell me their ace is committed to NC State, but I can't find his name or anything on him? Anyone know about this kid? I'll be there to check him out Friday night

AG does not have a NC State commitment. Not sure about Whiteville.
