You couldn't just muster up a "welcome to the Pack!" and move on to the other threads where the discussion was taking place to offer up your infinite wisdom? There's been quite a bit of talk about JUCO infielder Luke Orfi, who temporarily changed his Twitter profile to reflect himself as a South Carolina commitment. Barring an unexpected change, Orfi will not be a part of next year's Gamecocks team. It is expected that he returns to junior college next season and go through the MLB Draft process next year.

Playing somewhere on the infield. very versatile kid, is playing some SS in the summer league
from everyones favorite, cory smith. from the free board, so safe to post IMO.

Going to be really interesting to see how things shake out after the draft. I don't see Head or Fitz-Gerald not starting from day one if they stay on campus.
We could end up with Lyons, Fitz-Gerald, Nixon and Heavner for two spots. Nixon could be moved to a UTL role but his bat plays better at 2nd than a corner OF spot.
Avent doesn't do this but platooning Heavner/Nixon also makes a ton of sense if Fitz-Gerald doesn't make it to campus.
