I disagree with the point that Wake looks at today's game as "if we lose on Tuesday so be it." Besides wanting to win the ACC Tournament, I can't imagine they feel like they are a lock to make the NCAAs since you never know with these selection committees.
If I'm State, I'm burning everyone to get the win this afternoon. If we beat Wake, and lose to Miami, we'll just head to a regional as a 3 seed. You lose to Wake this afternoon, and Miami is still good enough to beat you without throwing their top end arms so you could be screwed.
