COMMIT ALERT: South Carolina Transfer Saniya Rivers Picks NC State
NC State has just landed a huge commitment from South Carolina transfer guard Saniya Rivers.
A 6-foot-1 guard, Rivers was the No. 3 prospect in the 2021 class, according to ESPN, and the 2020-21 Gatorade National Player of the Year as a high school senior.
Hailing from Wilmington, North Carolina, Rivers is the younger sister of Nanna Rivers, who played guard at NC State under legendary coach Kay Yow.
Rivers played sparingly as a freshman for the national champions, averaging 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per game.
She will have three years of eligibility remaining and is eligible to play right away.
Stay tuned for more from Rivers on her commitment to NC State!
