Four Wolfpack Women's Basketball Players Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Four members of the NC State women's basketball squad were honored with spots on the 2022 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Elissa Cunane, Aziaha James, Kayla Jones and Raina Perez were all honored for their successes on the court and in the classroom. Cunane and Jones are both three-time honorees, Perez garnered recognition for the second time in as many years at NC State and James earned the nod for the first time as a rookie.

Elissa Cunane (Senior)

• Major: Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology
• Cumulative GPA: 3.444
• Named to the Dean's List each of the last four semesters
• Three-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree
• 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-American
• Consensus All-American and First Team All-ACC selection in 2022
• Back-to-back ACC Tournament MVP honors

Aziaha James (Freshman)

• Major: Exploratory Studies
• Cumulative GPA: 3.111
• All-ACC Freshman Team honoree in 2022

Kayla Jones (Graduate)

• Major: Sport and Entertainment Venue Management
• Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Three-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree
• Second Team All-ACC selection in 2022
• Earned her undergraduate degree in May 2021 and finishing her graduate certificate in May 2022

Raina Perez (Graduate)

• Major: Youth, Family and Community Science
• Cumulative GPA: 3.545
• Two-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree
• Finishing her Master's degree in May 2022

NC State's four selections marks the second most in a single season in program history. The Wolfpack has had multiple All-ACC Academic Team members in six of Wes Moore's nine campaigns as head coach for NC State.
