Dereon Seabron

On if the team ran out of gas at the end…

SEABRON: I wouldn’t say we ran out of gas. I feel like we just had a couple of mental breakdowns on the defensive end. I think when we were coming down we weren’t getting anything offensively. I think we was just getting frustrated on the defensive end, that’s why we gave up those easy layups or those wide open threes.

On the scouting report on Alondes Williams…

SEABRON: We just tried to make him see bodies, just make sure we were in help defense, make sure he didn’t see any gaps to attack because we knew how good he was getting downhill. When we went zone we kind of bothered him a bit, we made him into a passer. That was just the main scouting report on him.

On struggling to score in the final few minutes…

They definitely were hedging harder. It kind of felt like they were trapping me until I gave the ball up. So yeah it was kind of hard to come off the ball screens at the end. But I feel like when they were doing that, I could have made better reads. Like reading the help man, trying to get my teammates some easy shots.

Jaylon Gibson

On how tough it was to operate down low…

GIBSON: Offensively, it was a little tough. I could have made some stronger moves. On the boards, they were really boxing out, I was just extending, jumping my highest to get some rebounds.

On if he had any extra juice playing a team he almost went to…

GIBSON: Not really. I go in to every team the same, try to dominate.
