LOCKER ROOM REPORT: Seabron, Smith, and Ross Talk VT Win
NC State's Dereon Seabron, Terquavion Smith, and Ernest Ross met with the media after the Wolfpack's 68-63 road win at Virginia Tech.

Sophomore Guard Dereon Seabron
“It feels good to get our first win, especially on the road. It also feels good because it's showing our hard work is paying off, we’re improving, and learning how to close out games.”
“I didn’t really have one set goal. The only goal I had was to do what I had to do to get the win.”
“We just had to do our work on the defensive end and not let them get easy drives or drive and kicks for open three’s.”
“We came up with a word yesterday, ‘Relentless,’ and everytime it got close we kept saying that word. We wasn’t going to give this game away. We had to close this game out.”
“Since we’re in conference, every game will come down to a possession game so we couldn't have slip ups.”
“That’s big, seeing the confidence with [Dowouna and Ross] being able to take those shots and make them late in the game, even though they aren't used to having the ball in their hands late.”
Freshman Guard Terquavion Smith
“It feels good. When you’ve been fighting for it, a couple of weeks now, grinding in games and practices... it’s a good feeling.”
“I would say my confidence is at the same level, everytime. Nothing is going to change my confidence. It will always be through the roof.”
“We were just telling each other we have to play hard. When it comes to crunchtime, the last four minutes, we have to play hard, finish possessions, boxing out and getting rebounds.”
Freshman Forward Ernest Ross
“I feel excited. Everyday I keep working and following coach’s instructions... taking in everything I need to do to get on the court and help my team win.”
“I just stay focused and listen to my teammates... do what I usually do. Come in with energy, run the floor, and get rebounds. I'm the type of guy to do what I have to do.”
“Dereon is a very good player. That’s what he do. I’ll have his back for when he misses; I'll clean it up.”
“Terquavion is a great player, confidence is through the roof. We’re all learning at the same time.”
“Yes sir, I had it in my mind that when he threw it to me I was going to throw it down. I was excited that I got the opportunity to do that.”
