COMMIT ALERT: 5-Star 2023 Guard Robert Dillingham Picks NC State
NC State just landed a commitment from Donda Academy (CA) 2023 five-star talent Robert Dillingham. He announced his decision on Instagram.
“The coaching staff is just different,” Dillingham said of his decision. “Coach Keatts is a great coach but also a great person. He treats me like family.”
Dillingham, who is originally from North Carolina, recently cut his list to NC State, Memphis, LSU, Kentucky, and Kansas. He made an unofficial visit to NC State in the spring and officially visited the Wolfpack in October.
The 6-foot-1, 165-pounder led the United States to a gold medal at the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in Mexico. He was named most valuable player after averaging 15.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.2 steals per game and was the star of the final, totaling 31 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a 90–75 win against Argentina.
Dillingham is considered one of the top point guard prospects in high school, regardless of class.
