COMMIT ALERT: 2022 DL Davin Jackson Picks NC State

NC State just landed a commitment from Sumter (SC) defensive lineman Davin Jackson‍.

Jackson, who is recovering from a knee injury, earned an offer from South Carolina after camping in Columbia. He also made visits to Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State, Syracuse, and Charlotte.

He originally made an unofficial visit to NC State back in June.

"It was super nice,” Jackson said after the visit. “The campus was great. I met the coaches. They're all amazing people and I just liked it a lot. It was just a super nice campus. I was actually the first recruit that came since last year so it was a good experience. Coach Doeren talked to me a good bit. The defensive line coach, the strength coach and several of the recruiting coaches talked to me and they were just amazing people. It was a fun time."

Jackson is NC State’s third defensive line commitment in the 2022 class, joining Florida prep standouts Nick Campbell‍ and Brandon Cleveland‍.
