George McDonald Headed To Illinois

NC State wide receivers coach George McDonald has accepted the same position at his alma mater, Illinois.

McDonald, who has been at NC State since 2015, had previously agreed to a two-year contract in December of 2018 with an annual base salary of $492,500. The new deal included a $125,045 raise from his previous contract.

McDonald’s contract ran from December 20, 2018 through January 31, 2021, and he had yet to agree to a new deal with the Wolfpack.

He will join the staff at Illinois under first-year head coach Bret Bielema.
