RELEASE: NC State To Face Michigan In ACC-Big Ten Challenge
The NC State men's basketball team will play at Michigan in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 9, the league announced on Friday.
The match-up will be the eighth all-time between the two programs. Michigan leads the all-time series, 4-3, including a 3-1 advantage in games played between the programs in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
Michigan returns three of its top-five scorers from last season's 19-12 team.
Tip-time and broadcast information will be released later.
Additional opponents and dates for the 2020-21 season will be announced at a later date.

Noting ACC Basketball
· The ACC has won three of the last five men’s basketball national championships (Virginia 2019, North Carolina 2017 and Duke 2015).
· The ACC is 74-35 (.679) in NCAA Tournament play over the last five NCAA Tournaments (2020 tournament was not played due to COVID-19 pandemic). The 74 wins are 24 more than any other conference. Over that five-year span, ACC teams are 68-29 (.701) against non-conference opposition as league teams have met head-to-head six times.
· With its 15-6 mark in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, the ACC has finished .500 or better in each of the last 32 tournaments. The Big Ten has the next longest active streak at 13.
