Leary was inept.
The strength was the run game. Even with a so so line.
Play calling was comical even keeping it simple.
Gave this game away.

“I’m proud of the ways our guys fought in the second half. We obviously didn’t do enough in the first half to make it for our players to be in a better opportunity.”
“I thought the last two minutes of the first half really hurt us. The scoring drive, three-and-out and getting the ball back, then we fumbled a punt, and I know no one feels worse than Thayer.”
“It was tough. I thought with kicking the football and making it, we’re getting the ball back to start the third quarter and we can get a little bit of a momentum swing there.”
“I feel bad for our seniors. I love those kids. To not be able to have a bowl game, we’ll make this a special week for them, the last week.”
“There were some positives tonight. We ran the football well, and I thought our offensive line battled.”
“I thought Devin Leary showed a lot of guts and leadership.”
“Tabari Hines did some really good things catching the football.”
“I think it started to click the drive before at the end of the first half. We got into some run game and tempo, which helped. I thought we just executed.”
“We had two takeaways and should have had one on the first play of the game.”
“We almost had an interception, it was kind of a weird play there withMalik.”
“It’s a sprint out where you have a flat route with a corner route behind it. In man you’re hoping to get a rub for the flat, if it’s zone you have the high-low for the quarterback. Cary is on a hide route going the opposite direction you can throw back to if everything is covered and it was. They got pressure on him so he couldn’t get his feet set.”
“[The first half] was horrible. To be honest they were calling each other out, I didn’t have to say a lot. Not in a negative way, but, ‘Guys this is not us.’”
