RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s basketball team released its full 2019-20 schedule on Thursday evening. Kevin Keatts’ NC State program will play 31 regular season games, including 20 ACC games, in his third season as head coach.
The 2019-20 schedule features 11 games against opponents that made the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Wolfpack opens the season with an ACC contest against Georgia Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 5. It marks the first time since Dec. 2, 1967 (a 79-63 win at Wake Forest) that NC State has opened its season with a game that counts in the regular season ACC standings.
After facing the Yellow Jackets, the Pack plays five straight non-conference games at home. The Pack will host Detroit Mercy (Nov. 10), FIU (Nov. 13) and Little Rock (Nov. 23) inside PNC Arena while the team will host St. Francis Brooklyn (Nov. 16) and Alcorn State (Nov. 19) inside James T. Valvano Arena at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum.
The Pack will play its first game away from Raleigh on Thanksgiving Day when it faces Memphis in Brooklyn, N.Y. as part of the Barclays Center Classic.
NC State returns home the next week to host Wisconsin in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
The Pack re-enters ACC play on Saturday, Dec. 7 when it travels to Winston-Salem to play at Wake Forest. NC State returns to the Triad the next weekend for a non-conference game at UNCG.
The Pack completes its three-game road stretch with a trip to Alabama on Thursday, Dec. 19 to face Auburn. NC State defeated the eventual-Final Four bound Tigers last season in Raleigh, 78-71.
NC State closes the non-conference portion of its schedule with home games against The Citadel (Dec. 22) and Appalachian State (Dec. 29).
The Pack jumps back into ACC play on Saturday, Jan. 4 with a trip to Clemson. Its first home game of the new year will be on Wednesday, Jan. 8 when it hosts Notre Dame. After a trip to Virginia Tech (Jan. 11), NC State returns home for consecutive home games against Miami (Jan. 15) and Clemson (Jan. 18).
NC State plays its first of three ‘Big Monday’ games on ESPN when it travels to Charlottesville, Va., on Jan. 20 to play the defending National Champions, Virginia.
After playing at Georgia Tech on Jan. 25, NC State hosts rival North Carolina on Monday, Jan. 27 and preseason top-25 opponent Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 1.
A three-game road stretch at Miami (Feb. 5), Syracuse (Feb. 11) and Boston College (Feb. 16) precedes the Pack ending its regular season schedule with four of six games at home.
NC State hosts Duke on Wednesday, Feb. 19 and Florida State on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Pack travels to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels on Tuesday, Feb. 25 before returning to PNC Arena to host Pitt on Saturday, Feb. 29.
The Pack plays its last road game of the season on Monday, March 2 at Duke and closes the regular season on Friday, March 6 at home against Wake Forest.
The ACC Tournament will be played in Greensboro, N.C., at the Greensboro Coliseum from March 10-14.
Start times and television designations for some games have yet to be determined and will be announced at a later date.
