BOX SCORE: NC State's Season Comes To An End In Greenville

Hey, this is probably Avents best season ever. He won the #1 spot in rankings for 3 straight weeks. Can we hang a banner out in centerfield for this? We all expected the season to end like this, but no one ever thought Avent would get us to #1 ranking in the country for almost a month!

What a disappointing end to a once-promising season. The only good news out of this is that the "foregone conclusion" put me in better graces w/my wife, as we went to Asheville this w/e, and I didn't even have to look at my twitter account, because you just knew.

Scoring 8 runs in the last 4 postseason games will get you out of a whole lot of tournaments. And sounds a whole lot like last year.

To go from 19-0 & #1 in the country to how this season ended; that's a pretty impressive flame out, event by Avent standards.

Is Boo a baseball guy?

Don't know how all our good bats go cold at the same time. Pitching was never a strength of this club. I can't blame he coach when we got shelled in 3 of the four postseason games we lost. It wasn't really strategy we scored 2 or less runs in three games and a few of those were solo HR's. No putting back to back hits together.

Everyone that has an excuse for Avent this year, can you please tell me what excuses you had for him the previous 22yrs?
