WATCH: Avent, Wilson Talk Louisville Woes

This is the normal trend for a Avent coached team. Start strong finish bad. It's exactly what you expect from a coach who hasn't won anything beside regular season games.

Wow. Pretty harsh. I think you should expect a little bit of a slump given the strong start. Why don't you let it play out. We still have a lot of baseball remaining, including Clemson and Carolina series. Great season so far and no reason we can't get back on the winning track. Avent has done a lot for this program.

We have seen this play out over and over again. 22 years and one cws appearance is all he has. With all the talent we have had in years past it's clear Avent is only going to take you so far

Problem is Avent is average but given the resources (ie: stadium) he has, the results have been slightly better than to be expected. If we ever wanted to take baseball seriously we need a major update to Doak but not sure we have the funds for it.

Nail Head. You are correct. Time to fold. As far as the BS about facilities, etc. The players have everything needed to be good and attract good players but Avent cannot coach them. We have had a lot of talent when Avent finally figured out where and how to recruit. He is the Herb Sendek of Baseball and the truth HURTS...could we improve our baseball program - yes but we need to improve our coach first and foremost....time for a change.

Wish we had a top 10 team with our other sorry coaches.
Hope we find a coach that can hit with men on base and pitch.
