Decision Day For Bates

Fayetteville (NC) Northwood Temple Academy four-star center Immanuel Bates announces his college decision this morning. 

Bates has offers on the table from NC State, Georgetown, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Clemson, UCONN, Oklahoma State, and Purdue among others.  Yesterday he cut his list to NC State and Georgetown.  He has already taken official visits to both schools and had trips to South Carolina and Georgia Tech scheduled but he has canceled those visits.

Last weekend he took his NC State official visit.

"It went pretty good," Bates told Inside Pack Sports.  "I had a good time with the staff and had some fun with the team.  I had an all-around good time at NC State."

One of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2018 class, Bates started the spring as an unranked recruit and ended the summer a four-star standout. 

At 6-foot-11 and 215 pounds, Bates is a big-time rim protector. His offensive game needs development, but he is a premier paint defender and finishes well around the rim.
