NC State senior safety Shawn Boone's interception at Wake Forest checks in at No. 3 in our Top 10 defensive plays from the 2017 season!
NC State struggled defensively early in the game but settled in and Boone's play was huge from that standpoint. Wake Forest was driving late in the third quarterback, but Boone made a diving interception of a pass broken up by Mike Stevens that ended the drive.
The Wolfpack wasn't able to come back and win the game, but Boone's play prevent Wake Forest from entering scoring position and kept the game close.
