July is here, which means football is right around the corner!

We started a month-long feature at Inside Pack Sports where we look back at NC State's top offensive and defensive plays from the 2017 season.

The plays are selected on a variety of factors, ranging from level of difficulty, overall impact, importance to the game/season, etc...

James, Steve, and Bryant reviewed the best plays and submitted their top ten plays on each side of the ball.  We put together a composite list, and we will be releasing each play daily, so enjoy!

Earlier in this series we featured Germaine Pratt showing his coverage skills in the North Carolina win, and play No. 6 showcases his ability to make tough, physical plays behind the line of scrimmage with his tackle for a loss at Notre Dame.

At 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds he has prototypical size but with him transitioning from safety to linebacker the question was if Pratt would be physical enough in the box.

He answered those concerns in 2017.

Against Notre Dame, not only did Pratt shed his initial blocker, he was able to penetrate into the backfield and tackle Josh Adams, who checks in at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, for a huge stop.

We've said it all spring and summer, this could be a huge year for Pratt, and it won't be the last time he makes the list!
