NOTES: NC State landed a huge commitment from North Stanly (NC) four-star defensive tackle C.J. Clark, who announced his decision on his Twitter account.
Clark picked the Wolfpack over Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, among others.
Clark is rated the No. 9 player in the state by Inside Pack Sports, and he is a consensus four-star recruit nationally.
Physically, Clark is an impressive prospect. At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, he has good explosive and short-area quickness. He does a really good job of using his hands to shed blockers. He can play with great leverage, but he needs to be more consistent in that area.
Clark totaled 79 tackles and nine sacks last season and has reportedly totaled nearly 300 tackles in his three-year varsity career which is impressive numbers for a defensive tackle.
He's productive and aggressive, and as you can see on film, he has the play-making ability which can enable him to be special on the next level. The cousin of former NC State star B.J. Hill, Clark has a chance to be just as effective for NC State.
