Is Bargo hurt? I would imagine if he had been available he wouldve pinch hit for Lanphere assuming he wasnt starting.

Just for a fun talking point. Has anyone seen the new data for college baseball. How the number of pitches you see correlates to BA.

Just to summarize the more pitches you see on college baseball the worse your chance of getting a hit is.

Obviously if you see 6-7 pitches that's a good AB. Being selective at the plate is ideal. But was interesting to see how big of a jump your BA gets by attacking pitches early.

Half the podcast talking about who didn't play. I feel like we could win the CWS and y'all will still be talking about who is or isn't in the lineup. Heard all year about how we haven't played anyone yet, now we do and we win. Fun game and good outcome.

Could be available this weekend if needed. Shouldn't need him. Hamstring pull

Makes sense. Typically best pitch to hit is the first one.

Danny Heintz (sp?) looked really good in the 9th for those who tuned out early. This guy is going to carve out a serious role in the pen.

The sad part is that Bargo was swinging the bat well. Often, the longer the layoff, the more rust and the harder to return to form. I could see some two out pinch hit opportunities this weekend just to get in a swing or two and not exert himself too hard running the bases especially if we have a nice lead.

Layoffs to heal a injury are fine. I know Bargo has been taking BP but that's not the same as live game pitching
