NC State center Jalen Grant recently met with the media to discuss the offense's play, Georgia Tech's defense, and much more.

Justin Joly ran the, well, he ran his, what's the word? Whatever, he hopped into the end zone against Pitt for that touchdown. What does that say about him and the team, and what y'all will do to get it done?
He just had to score. There's nobody in front of him. He had to put the team on his back and get it done for us. So if he got the opportunity to get in the end zone, I feel like that's what you gotta do. So he did that, and that's what we gotta do.
Does that give the team extra cues, seeing a guy push through and get that done?
Yeah, we were thankful for that, but to get the touchdown on the board, we had, just to see him go through what he had to go through to get that done for us, it means a lot.
What's the thought, I mean, like this week, Coach Doeren said you guys are no quit on the team. What have you seen on that?
We're ready for the next opportunity to go play who we’re playing which is Georgia Tech. They're a top ten team, so it's a great opportunity to go out there and put our brand of football on tape and show them what we can do.
What are your thoughts on what you're facing in Georgia Tech, what you're going up against?
They're a good football team, a disciplined team, well coached. We gotta go out there and play Wolfpack football.
Do you see that as, I'm sorry, I beg your pardon, do you see this as maybe not being the gap as people would project a top ten team versus NC State? Do you think perhaps y'all are closer to them than?
I don't think about any of that other stuff. Football is football.... 11 men, 11 people versus 11 people. 11 versus 11, and it's about who goes out there and scoops up the best.
Was it like having two new guards next to you last week?
Yeah, it was nothing new. I know those guys, I've been around them, you know what I'm saying? Rico came in, I played, you know what I mean? It's been a whole year together, so it's nothing crazy. We practice with them all the time, so it's very, it's easy.
How do you pay it forward with the younger players?
You just want everything to be the best it can be, so helping them along with technique or things like that, that you know will work. In this instance, it's easy.
Does Georgia Tech present anything schematically that you haven't faced this year, or are they similar to anybody, do you know?
Schematically, we've seen odd fronts. We've seen four down, four two boxes, four three boxes. Football is football, its the same thing.
