COMMIT ALERT: 2024 5-Star Guard Zamareya Jones Picks NC State

NC State just landed a huge commitment from 2024 five-star guard Zamareya Jones who picked the Pack at a press conference at North Pitt High School.

“I picked NC State for a lot of factors,” Jones told IPS prior to her decision.  “It’s close to my hometown and I love the coaches and the team.  Everything is good about NC State.”

Jones, a 5-foot-8 point guard, pick the Pack over Alabama, Mississippi State, Florida State, and Georgia, among others.

She is rated the No. 4 point guard and No. 17 overall prospect in the country by ESPN.

One of the most dynamic players in the state, Jones has starred at North Pitt all three years.  This past season she averaged 28.9 points, 4.6 rebounds,  7.0 assists, and 5.4 steals.

Jones was named the N.C. Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year as a junior.
