NC State QB Brennan Armstrong On Notre Dame: "It's A Good Defense"

NC State quarterback Brennan Armstrong met with the media to discuss the upcoming matchup against Notre Dame.

“I’m just looking forward to it and trying to go out there and play some good football.”

“The front seven is really tough. We have to control the trenches... make sure we establish ourselves.   A lot of man coverage, Cover One stuff, so guys have to win outside and make plays.”

“I think they saw what I do with my feet, so probably get some guys spying on me, not let me get out of the pocket too much.”

“All around it’s a good defense, a solid defense.”

“Week one we didn’t hit some of our layups. We had some easy conversions on third down, and that sustains our drives and the score probably looks a little different.”

“It doesn’t matter what opponent. You have your gameplan in. You have to go do it. You have your rules to certain plays, I have my rules, everyone has their own rules.”

“It doesn’t matter who is lined up across from you.  You see the scheme they are running, the structure, and you play off that.”

“Keep it simple, make plays, and play hard... don’t let the team coming in here or the moment get too big for us.”

“Just getting the ball down the field. Last game I tried to take care of the ball, not take sacks, and keep the chains moving. I felt like that would win us the game.  We didn’t really push it too far down the field, just easy throws, get the ball out of my hands.”

“We have our goals every week. We want to score 31 points, and if we score more than that, it’s even better.  We just have to hit our pillars. We have five pillars and have to hit them.”

“Make our layups.  When we get layups, make them.”
