Rob and James, thanks for your observations about this year. Most I would agree with, but come on James, comparing Bradley Chubb to what Philip Rivers did. Chubb had two good seasons and he had an outstanding senior year, but there is no comparison. Rivers came is as a 17 year old and played the hardest position in team sports and never missed a beat. If they retire Chubb's and Mario's number then that is fine, but to say that Chubb was a better player. No way.

Jalen Samuels was a great player. I commented on his ability when I saw his high school film. I knew N. C. State had gotten a very good player. He was a jack of all trades and after 43 years of watching N. C. State football, he is in my top 5 of favorite players.

JSam was very good at doing tons of different things, but Ted Brown, who was a freshman the same year as me was much better. Ted was a great receiver out of the backfield, but not a whole lot of passing was done then. He threw a couple of halfback options in his time too. He scored 51 touchdown in 40 games, where as JSam has played a lot more. He is still the ACC's All time leading rusher without even counting his bowl games where he had great stats and several TD's too. He was on the JV squad until his 5th game of his rookie year and still got over 900 yards rushing in 7 games. You guys really need to check back on how great some of our former players were before making, in my opinion, some very outrageous comparisons.

Oh and James, Jim Ritcher did win the Outland Trophy his senior year, which is probably more prestigious than what Chubb did this year. Not to take away from what Bradley accomplished, but you guys are making some tunnel vision comparisons.

Appreciate the podcast.
