COMMIT ALERT: NC State Lands Tennessee Transfer Hollis Fanning

NC State has landed a commitment from Tennessee 6-foot-8 pitcher Hollis Fanning.  He confirmed the news this evening.

As a redshirt sophomore, Fanning appeared in 15 games, starting one midweek game. He posted a 1.26 ERA across 14.1 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts and only three walks.

The right-hander allowed just two runs on 12 hits while opponents batted .231 against him on the season.

Fanning has served as a starting pitcher this summer with the Kingsport Axmen.  He is currently 2-0 on the season.

This is a big pick up.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
