2022 Perfect Game top 50:
21 of the top 50 PG prospects ended up in college (16 of those 21 weren't drafted at all).
  • Of the 29 that were drafted and signed, almost half were the top 14 overall kids, so prospects 1-14 were drafted and signed.
  • 19 of the 29 were in the top 25.
  • The 2nd half of the top 50 had 10 kids sign.

2021 was much of the same.
  • 20 of the top 50 PG prospects ended up in college.
  • 16 of those 20 were not drafted.

Duke SS Alex Mooney was 12th, Chase Burns formerly of Tenn was 17th, Tommy White was 18th, Will Taylor at Clemson was 22nd. Pretty wild for those kids to end up in school. I know Tommy priced himself out of getting drafted, wasn't b/c teams weren't interested. They were plenty interested.

No idea if Maroudis wants to attend school but it wouldn't be crazy to see him end up in Raleigh.

Of the next 50 prospects in Perfect Game's top 100 from last year
  • 35 kids ended up in college or weren't drafted at all. I add this b/c Mako and Sosa are ranked in that next group of 50.
2021 was basically the same as 33 of the next 50 kids ended up in college.

Just some food for thought with the draft starting Sunday.
*Wolfpack Baseball - 2021 *NCAA COLLEGE WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!
*Congrats to the 10 win 2021 Wolfpack football team!
