NC State added a massive piece to the class of 2024 recruiting puzzle today when Hollywood (FL) Chaminade QB Cedrick Bailey‍ announced his commitment to the Wolfpack.

Boasting previous offers from Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Indiana, among others, Bailey landed an offer from NC State back in early February. He made it to Raleigh for his first look at the Pack last Thursday and Friday – with that trip coming on the heels of Bailey being named the QB MVP at the Under Armour Camp held in Orlando last weekend. He talked with Inside Pack Sports about the trip.

“It was a great experience – I love how everyone connects with me,” said Bailey. “I have a great bond with the coaches and players. It was a great time, the campus was fun. I went around on the tour and saw the buildings, where the student’s study at, where they sleep at, where they study at. It was a great experience. “

Another factor that led to Bailey’s commitment was his connection to Wolfpack QB coach Kurt Roper.

“Coach Roper is a great guy – he’s a great coach, I have a lot to learn from him. He stands out a lot to me as a good QB coach.”

Bailey was the offensive catalyst for a powerhouse Chaminade program that has won back to back state titles. In 2022, Bailey completed 203 of 289 (70%) passes for 3,355 yards and an astounding 45 touchdowns versus just five interceptions. He rushed 24 times for 215 yards and an additional two scores.

Bailey is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
