“We talk about that. We’d won eight out of nine going to Virginia, and I didn’t think we played particularly well, especially on the defensive end.”
“We’ve got the sniffles, and we needed to get well. I thought we were locked in from the beginning. It was one of those games where you play well on the offensive and defensive end, and it showed for us today.”
“When we’re shooting the ball like that and playing together, we can be really tough offensively.”
“I’m so proud of him. We played against two teams who did a good job of defending our guards and I thought he caught a lot of flak because he didn’t play well in their mind, but we know what Jarkel is capable of.”
“It was good to get Jack some minutes.”
“We knew Post was really good and we didn’t want him to beat us two different ways, in the paint and from three.”
“We pushed the ball, we were active... our guys played with energy and they played with pace.”
“No one should ever apologize for losing at Virginia. It’s a good place. They’ve won a lot of games there.”
“We just played a good Boston College team who just went on the road and played a good Virginia Tech team and won.”
“It’s hard to put into words what he’s meant for this program. As a sophomore with games to go, scoring 1,000 points... he’s going to be a first-round draft pick, possibly lottery, in the next few months. It says a lot about that kid.”
“I was on him today because I hold him so high and was really on him to finish games. He’s been so great. He’s allowed me to coach him, he listens to what the coaches say.”
“He loves his teammates and the opportunity.”
“It’s a great win, but we didn’t set out to say we wanted to win 20. It’s for my players. Those are the guys who have done the heavy lifting.”
“He scores so much. He doesn’t worry about how many points. You’re talking about a good kid who has given everything he could to NC State.”
“Every game that we play, every next game is the biggest game on our schedule and obviously they do a great job there.”
